Where Should You Go To Have Your Snoring and Sleep Apnea Treated?

If you snore, awake at night gasping for air, or feel tired all day, you may have sleep apnea. Your airway is restricted or dangerously obstructed. This can lead to serious health problems such as high blood pressure, heart disease, and stroke, shortening the quality and length of your life as outlined in my book, The Superlongevity Rx.  

Recent medical guidelines for the treatment of mild to moderate sleep apnea recommend Dental Oral Appliance Therapy.  Yes, go to a dentist with a sub-specialty in treating sleep disorders.  (Most dentists do not have the knowledge or training needed the care for you effectively.)  

In our office, we treat people with snoring problems, mild and moderate sleep apnea problems, and the 50% of people who have severe sleep apnea, but cannot tolerate the CPAP and BiPAP machines.  You should get a sleep study from your physician to identify if you have sleep apnea and into which group you fall.  

Ways to treat your problems include intra-oral appliances like those I custom designed below. 

Treatments can also be our laser Nocturnalase technique or a combination of both that and oral appliance therapy if you snore, have mild to moderate sleep apnea, or cannot tolerate the CPAP and BiPAP machines.  Below are before and afters of the soft palate and uvula after the laser collagen rejuvenation technique.
